Electrical Training Program 2025

Program Details

The Electrical Training Program at OIC of South Florida is designed to transform untapped potential into real-world power—literally. In less than 25 weeks, students dive into hands-on training that prepares them for a thriving career in the construction and electrical industries. This comprehensive program blends classroom instruction with practical experience, guiding participants through essential topics such as hand and power tool usage, circuit fundamentals, blueprint reading, electrical code compliance, and both basic and advanced wiring techniques.

Participants earn nationally recognized credentials, including NCCER Core Construction, Electrical Level 1, and Electrical Level 2 Certifications—making them competitive candidates in today’s job market. Beyond technical skills, students also benefit from career coaching and job and apprenticeship placement support to ease their transition into the workforce.

Open to individuals 18 and older with a high school diploma or GED (or those willing to take a qualifying exam with OIC), this program is a powerful entry point for anyone ready to start building a future in the electrical trade. Classes begin August 18 and run Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Robert P. Kelley Building in Fort Lauderdale.
